WHAT IS A RESEARCH, BUT A BLIND DATE WITH KNOWLEDGE

 The word "Research" appears to be different for different people, some regard it to be innovation,other regard it to be discovery,for a few it to be observation,scientific analysis,logical interpretation  and so on.Discovery refers to finding the existing phenomena  which is already  present  on the earth  through observation.Whereas innovation regards creating a new product based on our knowledge.For doing research science acts as  a medium.Acquiring knowledge refers to the logical understanding of the natural phenomena.

 Is it possible to perform a research without knowledge?Is it possible to perform research with knowledge without date?What if a country stops promoting research?What would be their implications?What happens if science is not taken into account while doing research?Is the research progressing in the right direction? These questions would be answered in the following essay.

                Research refers to the phenomena of discovering the existing phenomena through application of science which is indeed knowledge.Since the discovery happens and gets recognised on a particular date therefore it can be regarded as a blind date.However blind date cannot be ignored,as a discovery of phenomena before 1 month will have a significant impact on the lives of the people.For instance, medical discovery of treatment of cancer before 1 month can save many lives then after 1 month.

    A person who lacks the knowledge of science and observation skills cannot perform research as it requires a person to deeply understand the phenomena,why it occurs only in a particular manner?,curiousity is also an essential ingredient for performing research.For Example-A person who does not understand the functions of genes,the basic guiding phenomena,how could he discover the phenomena of gene editing?.Even if he gets succeeded in that there is no guarantee that it would be successful.It may be partially true.Therefore it is necessary that there should be proper awareness and must be accompained by required skill set such as knowledge on which research is performed.

    Reasearch and innovation  has started since man evolution.Discovery can be seen in men discovering the lightning of fire through stones,process of expression and preservation through writing,scattering effect,Einstein's relativity theory,potential difference leads to flow of electrons indeed produces current.Innovation can be seen when men created wheels,steam engine,production of electricity  through circuit implementation and so on.

                India cherished during mauryan times,Gupta times due to scientific thinking,logical interpretation and discoveries.For instance during Gupta period there were  Navratnas such as charkhasamhita for ayurveda and so on.The other scientists like Bhaskaracharya pioneer in the field of differential calculas and their application in astronomy,Brahmagupta gave rules for the computation with zero,Arybhata in discovery of trignometry and so on.

             Then after this period during medievel period research had become stagnated due to which India perished.The research and innovation then began in Europe due to Renaissance  which led to first industrial revolution which has changed the man life drastically.This has given an edge to Europeans over India,due to which India became the victim of colonialism.The reason for such importance to technology is due to it increases the producitivity and is more accurate than man.Therefore, research is essential for a country to progress,to be an active player in global politics and also for it's national security.

    The research is a boon when discoveries are outstanding such that they help people in a positive manner without having  major negative impact.For instance, treatment of cancer,treatment of HIV through genetic editing,placing microbots as swimmers for treatment of blood tumor and so on.

    However research can also be a bane too.Such as gene editing in few cases altering the DNA of present generation will affect the future generation.Since knowledge of genes is not completely known to man,it can also affect the process of evolution.The discovery and innovation of nuclear bombs ultimately resulted in the destruction of human.

As the society now becoming complex ,a person require more and more knowledge to discover new phenomena.In the process to gather knowledge  he has neglected his personality development, reduced the time to be spent with family.It affected  relations with his family members and also with himself. Men in few instances in the quest to discover more ended up in discovering nothing.In the present scenario, man is running to make artificial robots,making machine to learn on it's own through previous experiences.However,man himself do not know the real potential of his mind, the wonders,miracles that can happen through application of his mind.At times,he even does not believe in himself,on his goals.The quest for doing research is not a wrong thing,however it must be done in a right way,right manner and in right direction without hurry and it must progress with humanity.

    The culture of  research must be naturally developed by the teachers to the students through scientific reasoning,explaining the factors in a logical manner,making te child to apply his mind in a rational manner.It must not be a burden on a student.The joyness of discovery, the sweetness of the fruits of discovery  must be tasted by the future researchers.It must happen through self awareness of themsleves along with awareness of surroundings,so that knowledge would help in their personality development.The research,technology must help  in betterment of human life and at the same time resources  must preserved for future generations.Research must happen with the intention of good will for all and it must be utilised with the good intention to provide public services.It must progress with humanity as a principle.In the process of  research,the environment must be conserved because the species too share the mother earth vis-a-vis as humans.
